Pharmacy Technician

As a Senior Certified Pharmacy Technician at Walgreens, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our pharmacy department. Under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, you will assist in the preparation and dispensing of medications, maintain accurate records, and provide exceptional customer service to our patients.

• Assist pharmacists in the preparation and dispensing of medications, including counting, measuring, and pouring pharmaceuticals.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient information, medication orders, and inventory levels.
• Provide exceptional customer service to patients, answering questions and addressing concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
• Assist with inventory management, including ordering, unpacking, and storing pharmaceuticals.
• Perform various administrative tasks, such as processing prescriptions, handling cash transactions, and maintaining the pharmacy's appearance.
• Assist with training and development of new pharmacy technicians and other staff members.

• PTCB or ExCPT certification (except in Puerto Rico)
• One year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico)
• Requires willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours

• Prefer to have prior work experience with Walgreens
• Prefer good math skills (counting, measuring, and weighing medications)
• Prefer basic level PC skills (for example: start up and shut down computer, use mouse to point and click, start and close programs, switch between programs, save files, print documents and/or access information on-line)
• Prefer the knowledge of store inventory control
