The role is essential for managing the daily operational activities of the clinic and supporting the Director in enhancing the performance of the Hospital Outpatient Department (HOPD). Key responsibilities include obtaining authorizations for patient services, managing phone communications, scheduling appointments, creating patient charts, and maintaining filing systems. Additionally, the role involves assisting patients to examination rooms, recording vital signs, and facilitating patient discharges.

Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED is required.
- Graduation from a Medical Assistant or CNA program is highly preferred.
- Experience in medical financial reimbursement, billing, and collections is essential.
- Knowledge of CPT and ICD10 coding is required.
- Ability to work independently and demonstrate sound judgment is necessary.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills are a must.
- Prior experience with PCs, scanning, faxing, and multi-line phone systems is required.
- Capability to use a blood pressure monitor and other medical equipment as needed.
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is highly preferred.
- A minimum of two years of experience in a medical office, specifically in patient access roles, medical billing/collections, or similar positions is required.
- At least two years of clinic coordinator or management experience in a medical facility is preferred.
- CPR certification is required.
- MA or CNA certification is highly preferred.
