Estimated Salary Range:$60,000 - $80,000 per year

Job DescriptionThe Production Team Operations Manager will be responsible for guiding and supporting subordinate team members to meet production schedules. This role requires excellent leadership skills, the ability to teach, coach and train others on the job, and proficiency with measurement instrumentation (calipers, gloss meters, lasers).

 

Main Responsibilities
  • Safety ManagementThis includes promoting safe practices and habits and assuring that all team members are safe.
  • Quality ControlThis involves participating in and supporting investigations related to Quality Conditions.
  • Training and DevelopmentThis includes teaching, coaching and training new employees and promoting development of cross-training matrix.
  • Daily MeetingsThis requires meeting with Manager and/or supervisor daily for schedule and updates.
  • Work Instruction GuidelinesThis involves ensuring that the team is operating under current work instruction guidelines.
  • HR IssuesThis requires communicating any HR issues to Manager immediately.
  • Hands-on TrainingThis involves providing accurate hands-on-training to team members as needed.
  • Paperwork and ToolsThis includes accurately completing all required paperwork and turning in daily as required by Manager or supervisor, and maintaining and securing tools daily.
  • Audits and CleanlinessThis involves performing audits accurately and on time as scheduled, and maintaining an acceptable level of cleanliness of production area daily.
  • Inventory and SchedulingThis requires inventory of production items as required by Manager, and responsibility to monitor and set the expectation regarding shift end times – dependent on the day's activities, and ability to meet the production schedule.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Tool ExperienceThis includes experience with required tools for the production process.
  • Quality Technician ExperienceThis involves experience as a quality technician in a composites environment or equivalent experience.
  • Leadership ProficiencyThis requires demonstrated leadership proficiency/competence.
  • Measurement InstrumentationThis includes proficiency with measurement instrumentation (calipers, gloss meters, lasers).
  • Teaching and CoachingThis involves demonstrated ability to teach, coach and train others on the job.
  • Cross-TrainingThis requires demonstrated track record of cross training, competency with different processes/functions.
  • Dependability and AttendanceThis includes proven dependability, performance, and attendance is required.
  • Work InstructionsThis involves ability to read, understand, and convey work instructions to team members.
  • Department FlexibilityThis requires must be willing to be utilized in other departments and production roles as necessary.
  • Forklift CertificationThis is preferred but not required.
