Food Service Assistant Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Food Service Assistant to support the nutrition team at Regina Coeli Child Development Center. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting with food preparation, dishwashing, clean-up, and kitchen sanitation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with food preparation and presentation to ensure high-quality meals for our clients.
  • Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to all health and safety standards.
  • Support the nutrition team in meal planning and delivery, ensuring that all dietary needs are met.
  • Perform routine maintenance and deep cleaning of the kitchen, including equipment and utensils.
  • Attend meetings and training sessions as required to stay up-to-date on best practices and policies.

This position requires strong physical abilities, including standing, walking, lifting, and bending. A background check, TB test, First Aid/CPR certification, and valid driver's license are also required.

Reporting and Classification:

This position reports to the Center Director and is classified as Hourly/Non-Exempt.
