Overview

MedlinkHealth Anesthesia is seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team. This role will provide clinical support to our healthcare professionals, ensuring the highest level of patient care.

Salary and Benefits

Job Description

As a Medical Assistant, you will be responsible for performing various clinical tasks under the supervision of our office nurse or physician. These tasks may include:

  • Performing blood draws, injections, child immunizations, lab tests, and other procedures within the scope of your certification.
  • Assisting physicians in examinations, which may involve taking vital signs.
  • Keeping examination rooms clean and stocked with necessary supplies.
  • Taking and returning patient phone calls as directed by the physician.
  • Giving instructions to patients as instructed by the physician.
  • Requisitioning supplies as needed to maintain adequate stock.
  • Assisting with the maintenance of medical records, including completion of referral forms, lab slips, and other pertinent documentation.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a formal Medical Assistant curriculum or special training for Medical Assistants.
  • A minimum of 3 years of demonstrated relevant experience as a Medical Assistant in a medical setting.
  • Certification as a Medical Assistant and BLS (AHA) certification.
