Job Summary

UAB Medicine is seeking a skilled Computed Tomography Technologist to join our team in Radiology Services. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for performing CT procedures with a high level of technical expertise and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform CT procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision, utilizing independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative to render prescribed procedures.
  • Work under the direction of a radiologist and the CT supervisor to ensure high-quality imaging and patient care.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care and achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest imaging technologies and techniques to maintain a high level of technical expertise.
Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited School of Radiology required.
  • Currently registered as a Registered Radiologic Technologist (RT) (R) with ARRT.
  • Candidate will have one (1) year from hire date to become registered in Computed Tomography (CT) from ARRT.
  • Or certified as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) required.
