Job Summary:

As a Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist at UAB Medicine, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of medical imaging and patient care at our adult Level 1 Trauma Center. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our radiology team, providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the advancement of medical science through research.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform CT procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail.
  • Render prescribed CT procedures, utilizing independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative.
  • Work collaboratively with radiologists and CT supervisors to ensure high-quality patient care and efficient department operations.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest equipment and procedures, including microwave and radiofrequency ablation, the O-arm surgical imaging system, and intraoperative CT and fMRI.

Requirements:

  • Graduate from an accredited School of Radiology required.
  • Currently registered as a Registered Radiologic Technologist (RT) (R) with ARRT.
  • Candidate will have one (1) year from hire date to become registered in Computed Tomography (CT) from ARRT.
  • Or certified as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) required.
