Position Overview:

Key Responsibilities:


As a CNC Machining Operations Leader, you will be instrumental in managing and overseeing the daily functions of our CNC machine shop.

This role involves leading a team of skilled CNC machinists, operating advanced machinery, and contributing to the production of high-quality parts and components.


Your Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Supervising and coordinating the activities of CNC machinists, ensuring compliance with production timelines and quality benchmarks.
  • Programming and operating CNC machines, utilizing Mastercam software to manufacture precision parts and components.
  • Implementing and maintaining the AS9100 quality management system to ensure adherence to aerospace industry standards.
  • Employing CAD/CAM software for part design and manufacturing planning.
  • Training and mentoring team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Quickly troubleshooting and resolving machine and production issues to minimize downtime.
  • Collaborating with departments such as Engineering and Quality Assurance to optimize production processes and enhance product quality.
  • Conducting regular performance evaluations, providing constructive feedback, and implementing necessary corrective actions.
  • Ensuring a safe and organized work environment by enforcing established procedures, rules, and regulations.

Qualifications:
To excel in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a CNC machine shop environment.
  • Proficiency in CNC programming and operation, with a solid understanding of Mastercam or similar software.
  • In-depth knowledge of the AS9100 quality management system and aerospace manufacturing standards.
  • Experience with CAD/CAM software for part design and manufacturing planning.
  • Strong leadership abilities with the capacity to motivate and manage a team effectively.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the capability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
