Job Title: CNC Machinist

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team at First Tek. As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC machines to produce high-quality parts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Set up and operate CNC machines, including Okuma CNC Lathes, Mazak CNC Lathes, Mazak Mills, HAAS Mills, and Mazak machining centers.
  • Perform quality control checks to ensure parts meet specifications.
  • Load parts using overhead lifting equipment.
  • Operate controls, set offsets, and jog machines.
  • Read blueprints, precision measuring instruments, and job orders to determine dimensions, tolerance, and tooling requirements.
  • Maintain tolerancing throughout the run and perform periodic inspections.
  • Troubleshoot issues during run to return the machine to good operation.
  • Keep equipment and work area clean and orderly and perform basic preventative maintenance functions on equipment.
  • Properly deburr and break edges of parts to print.
  • Comply with all Company and HSE policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • 2-5 years of CNC Mill machine experience.
  • 1-4 years of CNC Lathe machine experience.
  • Ability to do conversational and G-code programming.
  • High mechanical ability.
  • Ability to read blueprints and identify tools.
  • Team player with ability to work well with others.
  • High level of professionalism.
