Overview:
BRPH is seeking a Construction Engineering Project Manager to join our team.

The Construction Engineering Project Manager plays a crucial role in facilitating the successful execution of designated projects, ensuring adherence to technical specifications, timelines, and financial objectives.

This position primarily involves assisting the Project Manager with daily technical operations necessary for the effective management of construction project requirements.

Travel and temporary assignments may be required, and a willingness to travel for project-related tasks is highly valued.

Responsibilities:

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Overseeing job controls to guarantee compliance with technical specifications, contractual obligations, budgetary constraints, schedules, and Building Information Modeling (BIM) coordination.


Providing technical assistance in construction planning, quality assurance, design interpretation, application of construction techniques, resolution of design conflicts, and constructability assessments to ensure project success.

Documenting daily logs, technical design submissions, essential reports, and inspection and testing outcomes.

Monitoring the daily progress of subcontractors to ensure adherence to technical and contractual standards.


Addressing subcontractor Requests for Information (RFIs) by reviewing technical requirements and coordinating with the engineer of record as needed.


Evaluating construction subcontractor implementation strategies, including project management, procurement, safety, quality, and general methodologies to identify potential risks.


Supporting the Project Manager in project planning, including establishing baseline costs, schedules, and cash flow management.

Assisting the Project Manager with subcontracting strategies, subcontractor development, cost estimation, procurement, and change management processes.


Contributing to the creation and management of the project risk register to identify and mitigate potential project risks.

Managing the overall project schedule and implementing daily activities while supporting the management of three-week look-ahead schedules.

Leading efforts to secure necessary permits, environmental approvals, and licenses.

Championing a robust safety and quality program throughout the project.

Overseeing the commissioning, closeout, and turnover processes.

Qualifications:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.

Experience with project management software such as Procore is advantageous.

Familiarity with TAKT planning is a plus.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with clients.

Technical knowledge of the built environment, including infrastructure and buildings.

Prior experience in the construction sector is essential.

Understanding of project estimation and scheduling methodologies.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:


Ability to navigate and maneuver around construction sites, which may involve walking, climbing ladders and scaffolding, and standing for extended periods on uneven surfaces.

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Capability to handle tools and equipment, performing tasks that require coordination and manual dexterity.

Ability to maintain focus and concentration in stressful situations or under tight deadlines.

Endurance to work in varying weather conditions and manage the physical demands of overseeing a construction project.

Strict adherence to safety protocols and the ability to enforce safety standards on-site.


Compliance with personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements, such as hard hats, safety vests, and steel-toed boots, is mandatory.
