Opportunity for Research and Leadership Development
At Sandia National Laboratories, we are seeking a highly skilled postdoctoral researcher to join our team as a Jill Hruby Fellow. This prestigious fellowship offers a unique opportunity for independent research and development in national security science and engineering.
Research and Development
The Hruby Fellow will conduct original research and development that supports our purpose of developing advanced technologies for global peace. This will involve proposing their own research topic and leveraging Sandia's state-of-the-art facilities to achieve their goals.
Leadership Development
In addition to research, the Hruby Fellow will participate in a leadership development program designed to prepare them for career advancement as recognized leaders in their field or institution. This will include opportunities to engage with government relations, participate in research proposal selection committees, and receive mentorship from senior technical leaders.
Requirements and Qualifications
To be considered for this opportunity, applicants must have a Ph.D. conferred within the past three years, demonstrate strong academic achievement, and possess excellent technical and leadership skills. They must also be able to obtain and maintain a DOE security clearance, which requires US citizenship. A demonstrated interest and/or experience in service to the nation is also desirable.

Applicants must submit a CV and a full research proposal prior to their interview. Interviews are tentatively planned for December 2024, and all materials must be received by September 12, 2024.
