We are seeking a highly motivated Radiology Trainee to join our team at UNC Health Care, a leading healthcare provider in the region.

Job Summary

This is a per diem position that requires direct supervision and involves performing radiological procedures at a technical level. The ideal candidate will be a second-level student in an MRI Technology program and possess excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities
  • Patient Preparation: Identify patients using two identifiers and document pregnancy according to procedure.
  • Diagnostic Imaging: Produce high-quality exams by setting technical factors and positioning patients optimally.
  • Safety Protocols: Maintain radiation safety for patients and staff by minimizing repeats and demonstrating compliance with ALARA principles.
  • Fluoroscopy Assistance: Assist radiologists in performing fluoroscopic procedures by setting up rooms properly and ensuring necessary supplies.
Requirements
  • Education: Currently enrolled in an AMA-approved school of MRI Technology as a second-year student.
  • Licensure/Certification: None required.
  • Experience: No prior experience necessary.
Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $18.20 - $25.86 per hour, based on experience and internal equity. This position is exempt from overtime.
