The Regent Lounge offers a stylish yet cozy atmosphere, ideal for unwinding alone or enjoying time with friends. Our innovative drink menu reflects the latest cocktail trends from major cities, complemented by a selection of small plates perfect for sharing or casual dining.

Key Responsibilities of a Server in the Regent Lounge:

The primary duty of the Regent Lounge Server is to deliver exceptional personalized service to our patrons while serving food and beverages. A strong understanding of food service, alongside expertise in beer, wine, spirits, and cocktails, is essential. Additionally, servers play a crucial role in mentoring our student staff, fostering hospitality and leadership skills. Other responsibilities include processing guest payments, managing stock levels, setting up and breaking down service areas, and ensuring cleanliness in the dining environment.

Essential Qualifications:

• Commitment to promoting diversity, equity, access, inclusion, and wellbeing.
• Experience working with individuals from various racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
• Must be at least 18 years old to serve alcoholic beverages.
• A minimum of 1 year of serving experience.
• Knowledgeable in the sale and service of alcoholic drinks.
• Basic reading and writing skills are required.
• Ability to learn Point of Sale systems.
• Capable of standing for extended periods.
• Able to navigate stairs while carrying multiple plates.
• Flexible availability for varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 3+ years of serving experience.
• Experience in a high-volume bar setting.
• Previous management experience.
• Food handling safety certification and knowledge of food allergens.

• Strong knowledge of food and beverages, with skills in delivering exceptional service.
• Basic literacy skills.
• 1-3 years of relevant experience.
• Good physical condition, able to carry trays weighing up to 40 lbs.
• Ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment with changing business volumes.
