**Responsibilities:**

* Prepare the operating suite with drapes, solutions, instruments, equipment, and supplies
* Ensure good working order of equipment and instruments
* Assist with preparing, transporting, positioning, and draping patients
* Pass instruments to physicians during surgery
* Continually account for the number and location of instruments and supplies during surgery
* Receive and process specimens for delivery to the laboratory

**Requirements:**

* High School diploma or GED or Military trained
* State Surgical Assistant or Surgical Technologist registration
* 6 months Surgical Tech experience or graduate of an accredited Surgical Tech program
* BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date
