**Job Summary:** We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Lead Infant Educator to join our team at Primrose School. In this role, you will be responsible for providing a loving, caring, and educational environment for infants aged 6 weeks to 12 months.
Key Responsibilities:- Infant Care: Provide nurturing care to infants, including feeding, diapering, and maintaining a safe and clean environment.
- Lesson Planning: Responsible for the implementation of the approved lesson plans and daily classroom schedule using the Primrose School Balanced Learning curriculum and materials.
- Observation and Assessment: Continuously observe and assess each infant's individual needs and progress, adapting teaching methods as necessary.
- Classroom Management: Maintains an attractive, well-kept classroom that encourages children to create, explore and make decisions with confidence.
- Communication: Maintain open and ongoing communication with parents, sharing updates on their child's development and milestones.
- Safety and Hygiene: Ensure a safe and hygienic classroom environment, following all health and safety protocols and guidelines.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a supportive and positive work environment.
- Professional Development: Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay updated on best practices in early childhood education.
**Qualifications:**
- Candidates must have at least 60 Undergraduate Credit Hours with 6 Hours in Child Development or Early Childhood Education; or a Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential OR Candidates must have 30 undergraduate Credit Hours with 6 hours in Early Childhood Education PLUS 1 year of experience (1560 hours).
- Associates or Bachelor's degree in Child Development, Early Childhood Education, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 1 Year of previous teaching or assistant teaching position in a licensed early childhood program preferred.
- Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations.
