Key Responsibilities- Plan, organize, and oversee the daily activities of roofing crews, including designating material staging areas and overseeing the installation of roofing systems.
- Train and develop crew members to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their jobs safely and efficiently.
- Monitor and control labor projections, material storage, and material needs to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and procedures, including conducting regular safety inspections and providing training to crew members.
- Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure projects are completed to the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction.
- Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and productivity.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, address any issues, and provide feedback to crew members.
- Maintain accurate records of project progress, including time sheets, safety reports, and quality control documentation.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in construction management or related field preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial roofing, with a proven track record of success in supervising and leading teams.
- Strong knowledge of safety protocols and procedures, including OSHA regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with crew members, project managers, and other stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites as needed.
- Requires standing for long periods of time, with frequent bending, stooping, and lifting.
- Requires ability to work in extreme temperatures, with exposure to dust, noise, and other environmental hazards.
- Requires ability to climb ladders, scaffolds, and other equipment, with a strong sense of balance and coordination.
- Requires working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with frequent changes in priorities and deadlines.
- Requires ability to work independently, with minimal supervision, and as part of a team.
- Requires ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
