Nurse Practitioner

As a key member of our healthcare team at Santa Rosa Medical Center, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care.
Position Requirements:
Requires an associate's degree in nursing. Bachelor's preferred.
Requires a current Florida Registered Nurse license in good standing.
BLS, ACLS and PALS
required prior to hire .
Position Responsibilities:
Evaluates assigned patients and plans, implements and documents nursing care.
Assists physicians during examinations and procedures.
Performs various patient tests and administers medications within the scope of practice of the registered nurse.
Promotes patients' independence by establishing patient care goals and teaching patients and families to understand conditions, medications, and self-care skills.
Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.Understands anatomy and physiology and has the ability to monitor and adapt to changing patient dynamics pre- and postoperatively.
Considers patient assessment information and collaborates and consults with team members (other nursing colleagues, surgeons and anesthesia providers) to develop an individualized plan of care with ability to make adjustments to attain designated patient outcomes.
Alerts surgeons, anesthesia personnel and co-workers to potential risks to patients (e.g. Abnormal lab results, abnormal EKG, etc.).Accepts responsibility and accountability for pre- and postoperative nursing practice.
Responsible for preoperative requirements of surgery and preparation of patient and chart for surgery.
Provides preoperative and postoperative care, including but not limited to assessment, reassessment and intervention required in care of the surgical patient.
Considers patient assessment information and collaborates and consults with team members (other nursing colleagues, surgeons and anesthesia providers) to develop an individualized plan of care with the ability to make adjustments to attain designated patient outcomes.
