POSITION SUMMARY
As a Lifeguard, your primary responsibility is to ensure the safety of all swimmers by employing effective rescue techniques when necessary. You will monitor the aquatic environment for hazardous conditions, unusual activities, and swimmers in distress. It is essential to advocate for the rules and regulations of the facility while being vigilant about situations that may compromise guest safety. You will also provide immediate assistance to injured patrons until emergency medical services arrive. Your role is crucial in fostering a fun and safe atmosphere for all guests. Responsibilities include managing towels in accordance with company protocols and maintaining cleanliness of the pool area.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Report any incidents, injuries, or unsafe conditions to management; complete necessary safety training and certifications.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures; ensure a professional appearance and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information; safeguard company resources.
- Greet and acknowledge all guests in line with company standards; proactively address service needs; assist guests with disabilities; express gratitude to guests sincerely.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with others.
- Support colleagues and treat them with respect and dignity.
- Meet quality assurance expectations and standards.
- Conduct visual inspections of tools and equipment; navigate uneven or slippery surfaces; remain on your feet or seated for extended periods.
- Lift, carry, push, pull, and position objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance.
- Demonstrate a commitment to customer service with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Perform additional reasonable duties as assigned.
