Position Overview:
The University of Texas Health at San Antonio is seeking a dedicated and skilled Academic Rheumatologist to join our esteemed faculty at the Joe R. and Teresa Lozano Long School of Medicine. This role is designed for an individual with a passion for teaching, research, and providing exceptional patient care in the field of rheumatology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive outpatient care at designated clinic sites.
- Provide inpatient consultative services at affiliated hospitals.
- Engage in academic activities including teaching and supervising medical students, residents, and fellows.
- Participate in clinical research initiatives to advance the field of rheumatology.
Qualifications:
Applicants must possess an MD or DO degree, have completed a three-year ACGME accredited Internal Medicine residency, and be board certified in Rheumatology or eligible for board certification within one year of fellowship completion. An active and unrestricted medical license in Texas is required or the ability to obtain one.
Compensation:
