Role Summary: Armed Security Officers play a vital role in safeguarding the premises, assets, personnel, and visitors against unlawful activities, accidents, and fire hazards. In this position, you will be part of a dedicated team responsible for securing one of the nation's essential infrastructures: military bases. Your responsibilities will include managing access to the facility at all entry and exit points, as well as conducting vehicle patrols around the property.
Key Requirements:
- Must possess a current, valid Concealed Pistol License.
- Firearm, ammunition, holster, and full duty gear belt provided at no cost.

Compensation and Benefits:
- Hourly Rate: $19.50

Primary Duties: As an Armed Security Officer with DK Security, your responsibilities may vary based on the specific site. Typical duties include:
- Client Interaction: Building strong relationships with clients, residents, and their families is crucial.
- Access Management: Ensure that only authorized personnel gain entry to the site.
- Surveillance Monitoring: Oversee CCTV feeds for any safety or security issues.
- Foot Patrol: Inspect the interior and exterior of buildings, identifying security, safety, or maintenance concerns.
- Mobile Patrol: Conduct patrols of parking areas, roadways, building exteriors, and remote locations using a security vehicle.
- Fire Alarm Monitoring: Regularly check that fire alarms are functioning correctly.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Current, valid Concealed Pistol License required.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent (some college preferred).
- Good moral character with the ability to pass a criminal background check.
- Successful completion of a drug test at the time of hire and annually thereafter.
- Impeccable grooming standards.
- Positive and professional demeanor when interacting with clients, employees, and the public.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email.
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to various locations.
- Valid State of Michigan driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to obtain CPR/First Aid/AED certification (prior certification preferred).
- Preferred: 2 years of experience in law enforcement, military, or armed security.
- Physical Requirements: Must be physically and mentally fit, capable of performing duties such as lifting up to 70 pounds, and able to work in various environments.
- Flexible availability and readiness to work on short notice.
