Position Overview:

AdventHealth for Children is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic pediatric hospitalist to contribute to our esteemed team at AdventHealth Waterman.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage pediatric admissions and discharges on the specialized Pediatric Floor.
  • Conduct pediatric consultations in the Emergency Department and facilitate patient transfers as necessary.
  • Engage in daily, family-centered rounds to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Oversee newborn admissions and discharges, ensuring optimal care from the outset.
  • Provide patient stabilization and resuscitation when required.

The role entails a combination of both in-hospital and at-home on-call duties, averaging around 15 shifts monthly.

Qualifications:

Applicants must possess Board Certification or be Board Eligible with the American Board of Pediatrics.

About Our Team:

Our pediatric hospitalist team comprises over 30 physicians and 10 advanced practice providers, delivering care across seven locations within our network. Our program is recognized as one of the premier children's hospitals in Florida, having received accolades for Best Newborn Care by US News and World Report for three consecutive years. The Level 4 NICU in Orlando features over 100 beds and access to all major pediatric subspecialties.
