About the Position

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant / Full-charge Bookkeeper to join our team at Propulsion Systems Inc. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a leading marine propulsion manufacturer based in Seattle.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets and profit/loss reports.
  • Prepare tax payments and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Reconcile credit card expense accounts for traveling mechanics and optimize expense management processes.
  • Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions to ensure smooth cash flow.
  • Oversee multistate payroll operations and ensure accurate payment processing.
  • Analyze job costs and provide insights to improve profitability.
  • Invoice service work and maintain accurate records.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
  • At least 8 years of experience as a Bookkeeper, with a strong background in accounting principles and practices.
  • Fundamental knowledge of GAAP and excellent QuickBooks skills.
  • Solid Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Detailed-oriented and deadline-driven, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
