We are currently seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse for our Float Team.

Work Schedule: Per Diem

Shift: Day shift; 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM

Travel Requirements: This position involves floating across all primary care offices.

Key Responsibilities:

This position reports to the Director of Clinical Operations or their designee. Responsibilities include a variety of direct patient care tasks such as administering medications, educating patients and families, rooming patients, and performing procedures in line with organizational policies and within the scope of practical nursing. You will facilitate the efficient flow of patients through the clinic or medical office.

Additionally, you may be responsible for communicating with patients via telephone, including relaying test results, surgery schedules, and providing appropriate guidance and follow-up under the supervision of a designated authority.

Utilization of an Electronic Health Record (EHR) and related software to update or access patient information is essential. You must possess the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age group of patients regularly served. This role requires travel to various SPG Primary Care sites experiencing staffing shortages, ensuring safe and appropriate patient care delivery.

Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited practical nursing program or equivalent is required.
  • Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) is highly desirable.
  • Preferred: Six months or more of experience in a related setting.
  • Current LPN Licensure in Massachusetts and/or Rhode Island is required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.
  • Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal influenza and COVID-19 or provide a valid exemption for medical or personal reasons upon hiring.

Compensation:

Pay Rate: USD $40.80 per hour.
