We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as an Afternoon Flexible Teacher Support professional. This 10-month position comes with the responsibility of providing bus support coverage as necessary and teaching in the After-School Program in support of our school's mission.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide bus support coverage as needed, ensuring the safety and well-being of students during transportation.
- Teach in the After-School Program, actively engaging and interacting with students to promote their social-emotional development and academic growth.
- Assure the safety and well-being of students at all times, maintaining a positive and productive learning environment.
- Communicate effectively with parents, colleagues, and administrators to ensure seamless collaboration and support.
- High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Experience teaching, preferably in Early Childhood education.
- Demonstrate commitment to providing support to students and families from diverse cultures and backgrounds.
- Experience integrating academic technology into classroom teaching.
- Design, organize, and implement daily age-appropriate activities.
- Experience in classroom management and flexibility in day-to-day scheduling.
- The ability to sit and stand uninterrupted for 30-minute periods.
- The ability to traverse on and across variable surfaces.
- Ability to lead, supervise, and accompany students to all areas of the school campus.
- The ability to position oneself to support students.
- The ability to work outdoors in variable weather conditions.
- The ability to lift and hold 15 lbs overhead.
- The ability to occasionally transport 25 lbs.
