About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Echocardiographer to join our team at the University of Virginia Health System. As an Echocardiographer, you will be responsible for performing echocardiography studies, TEES, and Stress ECHOs, recognizing, calculating, interpreting, and analyzing hemodynamic data.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure patient safety and comfort while in the radiology department.
  • Explain procedures and post-procedure orders to patients to gain cooperation and minimize anxiety.
  • Prioritize workflow based on patient condition and ensure timely arrival and departure.
  • Provide a conducive atmosphere for patient cooperation and confidence.
  • Utilize patient satisfaction and practice performance data to identify opportunities for improvement and participate in planning and improvement processes.
Requirements
  • 2-year Associate's Degree preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • 2 years of Echocardiography experience preferred.
  • American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) certification required.
Working Conditions

The job requires constant sitting, standing, walking, and bending/stooping. Frequent repetitive body movements. Proficient communicative, auditory, and visual skills. Ability to lift/push/pull up to 100 lbs. occasionally.
