Swing Shift Residential Mentor

Thrive Academy is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as a Swing Shift Residential Mentor. As a key member of our residential team, you will play a vital role in supporting the academic, social, and emotional growth of our students.

Responsibilities:

  • Directly supervise and mentor 5-10 students in the boarding program
  • Implement the THRIVE boarding program with fidelity and monitor student behavior
  • Communicate weekly with parents and families to ensure a positive living environment
  • Set a positive example by being a role model for students in the program
  • Plan and implement programs and activities to promote student engagement and development
  • Mediate conflicts and promote a positive living environment
  • Assigned bus riding duties on Sundays and monitor evening detention as assigned
  • Build positive relationships with staff members to promote a family environment

Qualifications:

  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
  • Knowledge or background in working with at-risk children and youth
  • Strong communication skills and enthusiasm for working with middle and high school age students
  • Willingness to work hard and with fidelity
  • Organized and able to multitask

Accountability: This position is accountable to the Director of Residential Life.
