Job Summary

Thrive Academy is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Residential Mentor to join our team. As a Residential Mentor, you will play a vital role in the lives of our students, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to help them thrive academically, socially, and personally.

Responsibilities

Supervise and mentor 5-10 students in the boarding program, providing individualized support and guidance to help them succeed.

Develop and implement programs and activities to promote student growth and engagement, including homework assistance, tutoring, and recreational activities.

Monitor student behavior and implement the THRIVE boarding program with fidelity, ensuring a safe and supportive living environment.

Communicate regularly with parents and families, keeping them informed of their child's progress and any concerns that may arise.

Set a positive example by being a role model for students, demonstrating strong values and a commitment to their well-being.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required; knowledge or background in working with at-risk children and youth preferred.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and staff.

Enthusiasm and patience for working with middle and high school age students, with a willingness to adapt to changing circumstances.

Organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a commitment to the mission and values of Thrive Academy.
