About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Wellness Program Manager to join our team at Maplewood at Southport LLC. This is a unique opportunity to lead, develop, and implement activities, programs, and events that optimize quality of life for our residents, enhance their health and wellbeing, and promote social connection and engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, train, schedule, supervise, direct, and evaluate Lifestyle Associates
  • Ensure all lifestyle programs meet Maplewood's quality standards
  • Collaborate with Senior Lifestyle Directors and other LSDs to implement established best practices in lifestyle programming
  • Develop and maintain monthly budgets for lifestyle programs
  • Plan and conduct recreational programs that cater to all residents' needs and abilities
  • Coordinate transportation for outings and events, including driving community vehicles when required
  • Maintain resident profile information and utilize it to create personalized lifestyle programs
  • Cultivate relationships with community agencies, organizations, and healthcare professionals to promote intergenerational programs and activities

Requirements:

  • An associate degree from an accredited college or university or satisfactory completion of two years of college, with major work in recreation, occupational therapy, gerontology, or a related field, or two years of full-time experience in the recreation field with an adult population
  • A valid driver's license with a good driving record may be required
  • Basic typing skills and computer knowledge; familiarity with MS Word, Excel, Publisher, Teams, and creative software
