JOB SUMMARY:
The Evening Grocery Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and ensuring the proper pricing, stocking, and rotation of products within the grocery sections.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. Facilitate the training of new evening grocery supervisors and staff.
2. Assist in the procurement of products to maintain sufficient inventory levels and reduce stock shortages.
3. Support the overall presentation of the grocery department in alignment with company standards.
4. Delegate tasks to evening crew members as directed by management and based on workload.
5. Monitor the progress of assignments and evaluate the productivity and performance of grocery staff.
6. Ensure compliance with pricing and stocking procedures to maintain accuracy and product freshness.
7. Supervise stocking practices to minimize potential damage or spoilage of products.
8. Uphold cleanliness and sanitation standards in accordance with company policies.
9. Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols.
10. Ensure compliance with cash register policies and request cash pickups as necessary.
11. Maintain vigilance for unusual behavior from customers or employees and report any security issues to management.
12. Foster positive employee relations and enforce departmental policies.
13. Communicate any personnel issues or policy breaches requiring disciplinary action to management.

SUPPLEMENTAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. Assist with the unloading of merchandise.
2. Help with the breakdown, placement, and stocking of products.
3. Support the blocking and facing of store merchandise.
4. Participate in general cleanup and maintenance of store presentation.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
1. Proficient math skills for accurate merchandise counting.
2. Strong communication abilities.
3. Manual dexterity for lifting and stocking tasks.
4. Capability to lift up to 50 lbs for approximately 50% of the time.
5. Ability to retrieve and place products on high shelves for proper storage, which may account for 20% of the time spent in aisles during shifts.
