CFA Institute is actively seeking talented individuals to become part of our expanding Property & Casualty Actuarial Consulting Practice as an Actuarial Consultant. This role involves collaborating with a team of experts to independently assess intricate challenges and devise effective solutions for self-insured clients. The consultant will engage with CFA Institute's clientele, which encompasses large self-insured entities, captive insurance firms, state regulatory bodies, and P&C insurance providers.

Key Responsibilities:
- Focus on loss reserving initiatives with additional involvement in pricing/ratemaking, predictive analytics, economic capital modeling, and loyalty reward schemes.
- Exhibit capability to integrate into ongoing projects, assuming responsibility for project tasks and ensuring effective client communication.
- Review and validate the contributions of analysts, ensuring technical precision and integrity across a broad spectrum of analyses, templates, and presentations.
- Compile, verify, and assess client data for reasonableness.
- Utilize advanced actuarial theories and principles to develop statistical models.
- Prepare and/or supervise the creation of exhibits and written reports to convey findings.
- Assist or lead in the formulation of proposals and presentations for potential clients.
- Participate in client meetings and marketing/sales presentations as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of two actuarial exams completed, with additional progress towards ACAS/FCAS preferred.
- 4+ years of actuarial experience within the property and casualty sector, particularly with Property and Casualty clients such as large self-insured corporations, captives, (re)insurers, and state regulators. Previous consulting experience is advantageous.
- Exceptional organizational abilities, with a capacity to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic work environment.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to cultivate strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and industry stakeholders.
- Proven capability to promote a culture of inclusivity, innovation, and continuous improvement within the practice and across the broader organization.
- Willingness to travel as required to support client engagements and business development efforts.
- Self-driven and proactive, with a demonstrated ability to devise client-focused solutions.
- Collaborative team player, adept at working effectively in a cross-functional setting.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with R, SAS, SQL, or VBA is a plus.
