We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team at Northwell Health. As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will play a vital role in the delivery of high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate and treat patients with disabilities, injuries, and/or diseases using physical, chemical, and mechanical means in accordance with the written and signed prescription and/or referral of a state-licensed physician or authorized practitioner.
- Maintain complete medical records for each patient, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective treatment plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families, promoting independence and self-management of their conditions.
- Contribute to a positive and supportive team environment, fostering open communication and a culture of excellence.
- Associate's degree or higher in Physical Therapist Assistant Studies or a related field.
- Current licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the state of practice.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound judgments.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities with ease.
