Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Revise Quality Systems: Develop and revise quality systems and procedures as directed by management to ensure documentation is compliant to current practices.
  • Conduct Audits and Investigations: Conduct Government and FAA requested audits and investigations and report on corrective action steps taken to prevent recurrences when necessary.
  • Analyze Performance Data: Gather and analyze performance data (scrap, rejections, defects, rework) to aid in the development of process improvement projects.
  • Coordinate with Production and Functional Areas: Coordinate across other production and functional areas to ensure maximum quality and efficiencies are achieved.
Qualifications
  • Education: Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or related field.
  • Qualifications: Professional and diplomatic demeanor, strong sense of accountability and integrity, excellent verbal and written communication skills, time management skills to support multiple concurrent projects, ability to deal with change and work in a dynamic environment, proficient in use of standard Microsoft Office programs.
Additional Requirements
  • Authorization to Work: Applicants must be authorized to work lawfully in the U.S. for Textron Aviation at the time of making application.
  • Work Schedule: Summer internships are 40 hours per week, typically from late-May to early-August, lasting 10 weeks.
  • Onsite Work: Candidates must be able to work onsite for the entirety of the internship program unless approved otherwise by the hiring manager.
