Job Summary

KEDPLASMA LLC. is seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to join our team in a dynamic and rewarding environment. As a Phlebotomist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient collection of blood donations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Present a professional demeanor and appearance to donors, introducing yourself prior to phlebotomy and ensuring understanding of donor health requirements.
  • Perform donor identification, review of records, and arm/vein selection for phlebotomy, using appropriate gauge needles and adhering to DCOPs.
  • Set up and program Haemonetics Autopheresis equipment, understanding alarm signals during operation, shutdown, and in the event of power failure.
  • Perform phlebotomy procedures in accordance with DCOPs, including arm preparations, collection volumes, restarts, and cell loss procedures.
  • Maintain equipment calibration, standardization, and cleaning schedules according to DCOPs.
  • Collect and identify test samples, including NAT testing protocols.
  • Respond promptly and competently to donor complaints, reactions, or deferrals.
  • Ensure the donor floor is properly stocked with supplies and soft goods.
  • Enter accurate and compliant donor data and exceptions into the DMS computer system.
  • Record required documentation accurately and in compliance with Company DCOPs.
  • Understand and participate in Company special donor programs, such as pre-existing antibodies and immunizations.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent (in California, a Phlebotomy Certification is required).
