Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Field Service Engineer II to join our team. As a Field Service Engineer II, you will play a critical role in installing, maintaining, and servicing clinical laboratory analyzers and other products sold by our company.
Key Responsibilities- Installation and Maintenance: Perform installation, preventive maintenance, and repairs on clinical laboratory instruments from manufacturers such as Abbott, Beckman Coulter, Hitachi, IL, Olympus, Ortho, Roche, Siemens, Sysmex, and Thermo Scientific.
- Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot complex issues related to analyzers, centrifuges, spectrophotometers, and automated systems.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address technical challenges and optimize instrument performance.
- Customer Support: Provide technical support to customers, resolving issues efficiently and educating users on instrument operation, maintenance, and best practices.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., CLIA, CAP, FDA) during service activities. Participate in proficiency testing and quality control procedures.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in biomedical engineering, electronics, or a related field.
- Experience: 3-5 years of hands-on experience servicing clinical laboratory analyzers.
- Skills: Proficiency with instrument models from specified manufacturers, certification as a Clinical Laboratory Instrument Technician (CLIT) preferred, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Travel: Up to 75% travel through designated areas with periodic overnights.
- Relocation: Current residency within the designated area. Relocation assistance is not available.
