Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Dining Room Manager to plan diverse and appealing menus, taking into account seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
  • Prepare lists of food and other supplies needed for weekly menus and procure fresh items from local vendors, ensuring timely delivery and quality control.
  • Prepare desserts and other specialty items, adhering to recipes and quality standards, and ensuring presentation is visually appealing.
  • Ensure proper food preparation, handling, and storage techniques are followed, maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment.
  • Assist with special events at the venue and off-site locations, providing exceptional service and presentation.
  • Assist in busing tables, washing dishes, pots, and pans, mopping floors, and general cleaning tasks, maintaining a high level of cleanliness and organization.
  • Report necessary equipment repairs or maintenance to the Dining Room Manager, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
  • Assist in training new associates, ensuring they understand and adhere to company standards and procedures.
  • Assist with scheduling of executive dining rooms, ensuring seamless service and communication.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or requested, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.

Requirements

  • High school diploma (or equivalent) and 5-7 years' food preparation experience, preferably as a chef or in a culinary role.
  • Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation standards, with the ability to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Ability to read and write, follow oral and written instructions, and communicate effectively with all levels of associates.
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and move food, equipment, and supplies in excess of 25lbs, with prolonged standing, walking, bending, and lifting.
