Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Server to join our team at the West Woods Golf Course. As a Server, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to patrons of the golf course facilities, serving meals in a professional and timely manner, and ensuring a warm and welcoming atmosphere for our guests.


Key Responsibilities

Some of the key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Providing excellent customer service to patrons, including greeting customers warmly and serving meals in a professional and timely manner
  • Having thorough knowledge of menu contents, daily specials, and basic preparation of each dish
  • Knowing special beverage promotions and being able to recommend drinks to customers
  • Working in an organized and expedient manner, anticipating guests' needs, and clearing dishes and tables as needed
  • Assisting the bus person when possible and keeping stations and work areas clean
  • Performing all side work duties, working opening and closing as directed, and helping where needed in the restaurant

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Good interpersonal skills, including the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervisors, other employees, and the general public
  • Previous customer service or waiting experience, although not required, is highly desirable
  • Ability to communicate effectively with others, use good judgment, and work independently
  • Ability to maintain a clean and neat appearance, maintain adequate attendance, and follow instructions
  • Working knowledge of all menu items and their presentation, as well as the ability to work with a P.O.S. and handle and reconcile cash banks
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
