Job Summary

This senior engineer position is responsible for creating, revising, and updating engineering standards that affect all levels of distribution and/or transmission systems design. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the role of governing body rules, regulations, and requirements in engineering standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create, revise, and update engineering standards for distribution and transmission systems design.
  • Evaluate suppliers' ability to manufacture material effectively and reliably.
  • Review manufacturer drawings to ensure conformity with internal specifications and standards.
  • Develop and maintain publications describing material, material specifications, and installation procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and governing body regulations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited college/university.
  • A minimum of six or more years' experience in industrial power systems or electric utility power systems.
  • Understanding of governing body rules, regulations, and requirements in engineering standards.
  • Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) designation.
  • Advanced degree in EE or ME with emphasis on power.
  • Professional Engineering License.
Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $111,500-$131,200. PacifiCorp offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health care, retirement, paid time off, tuition assistance, paid short-term and long-term disability, paid bereavement leave, and an annual discretionary performance incentive bonus of up to 15.00% of salary.
