Position Overview:

The Fidelity Risk Group is seeking a dedicated and motivated individual to join the FFIO and Corporate Services Risk Team. This role is pivotal in assisting the organization in recognizing, tracking, and alleviating risks to safeguard the interests of both the firm and its clients. The Risk Manager plays a crucial role in enhancing customer trust in Fidelity by collaborating with various business units to pinpoint risks and devise innovative solutions to strengthen controls, while nurturing a robust risk awareness culture.

Team Dynamics

This team offers Business Unit Risk support to specific segments of Fidelity's Corporate Functions, including Corporate Accounting, Corporate Tax, and the Fund Billing & Expense team within Fund Operations as part of Fidelity Fund and Investment Operations (FFIO).

This position is integrated within a broader Risk team that extends support to other divisions within FFIO, as well as numerous Corporate Functions, such as Fidelity Real Estate Company, Corporate Treasury, Procurement, and Enterprise Human Resources.

Required Expertise and Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree is essential
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant industry experience, including Audit or other Risk Management roles
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities
  • Proven leadership or project management experience
  • Ability to comprehend, advocate for, and articulate the vision, mission, and strategy of Risk
  • Strategic thinker with a creative approach to work, willing to challenge existing practices and propose enhancements to mitigate risks and drive positive change
  • Proficient in data analytics tools and capabilities (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, Tableau); adept at transitioning from sample-based testing to comprehensive population analysis to uncover risks or identify control weaknesses
  • Capacity to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities, adapting focus swiftly based on risk or business requirements
  • Clear, concise, and impactful communicator, capable of influencing others and tailoring messages to various audiences
  • Ability to cultivate strong and inclusive working relationships, both in-person and virtually, with business partners and colleagues
  • Adaptable to new information, shifting business priorities, feedback from others, and lessons learned
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in risk management, including risk assessment and control evaluation
  • Preferred subject matter expertise in Corporate Accounting, Fund Accounting, and Audit functional areas
