Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver specialized instruction to students with unique needs and recognized learning challenges within a special education framework, providing support in both individual and small group settings to reinforce language and literacy skills.
  • Administer and evaluate both individual and group assessments.
  • Organize and facilitate IEP meetings, coordinating with parents, general education teachers, administrators, and relevant special education personnel.
  • Collaborate with speech therapists, psychologists, and other service providers to communicate and coordinate evaluations and testing for special needs, while also updating parents on individual student progress.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and document advancements toward IEP objectives.
  • Assist with additional academic programs available within the independent study framework.
  • Perform other duties as required to support the Special Education Specialist program.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS)
  • California Preliminary or Clear Education Specialist Instruction Credential (Mild/Moderate) with English Language Authorization (ELA)

Compensation:

$73,000 - $105,000 based on experience

Work Environment:

Remote with a 10% onsite requirement for professional development, events, training, etc.
