Customer Service Associate

As a Customer Service Associate at Far West Restaurant Group, you will play a vital role in providing prompt, courteous, and exceptional service during the order-taking process, whether through phone interactions or face-to-face engagements. You will need to communicate swiftly and effectively with team members across various areas to ensure our patrons are satisfied and receive their orders in a timely manner.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with computer systems and point-of-sale (POS) technology is preferred.
  • Food Safety Certification is mandatory.
  • Proficient cash handling abilities.
  • Consistent attendance and punctuality are essential, with or without reasonable accommodations.
  • Willingness to work flexible schedules, including mornings, evenings, weekends, late nights, and holidays.

  • Exhibit integrity, honesty, and knowledge that foster the culture, values, and mission of Far West Restaurant Group.
  • Welcome all customers in a friendly and inviting manner, whether on the phone or in person.
  • Process orders for customers both in-person and via phone; promote additional items and maintain a comprehensive understanding of menu offerings and current promotions.
  • Stay informed about menu items, descriptions, and promotional offers to assist customers in making informed choices and addressing inquiries.
  • Ensure that all orders are prepared within the estimated readiness times provided to customers.
  • Confirm the accuracy and presentation of all customer orders prior to delivery to guarantee the highest level of satisfaction.
  • Demonstrate strong cash handling skills to accurately manage cash, credit card, and gift card transactions, and balance the register at the end of each shift.
  • Contribute to maintaining a tidy work environment; keep the Front of House (FOH) area clean and well-stocked, including restrooms. Restock supplies during downtime or as instructed.
  • Adhere to safe food handling practices by following all safety and sanitation protocols; promote a safe workplace.
  • Maintain a professional and polished appearance in accordance with the company's Uniform Standards.
  • Address and manage customer complaints effectively, escalating issues to the manager on duty when necessary.
  • Leave customers with a lasting and positive impression of their experience with Far West Restaurant Group.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new situations.
  • Ability to comprehend and execute oral and written instructions, seeking clarification when necessary.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to foster positive interactions.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team.
  • Capability to build and maintain relationships with customers.
  • Previous cashier and restaurant experience is advantageous.
