Programmer Analyst

We are seeking a skilled Programmer Analyst to join our team at College of the Sequoias. The successful candidate will design, create, and maintain computer programs and systems to meet user needs.

• Study existing systems and procedures to identify requirements and optimize data flow.
• Develop programs using best practices and designated programming languages.
• Analyze program objectives and design desired outputs.
• Communicate with users to respond to requests for assistance or explain proper use of programs.
• Write or modify programming documentation and remain current on developments in computer programming equipment and techniques.

• Two years' college-level coursework in data processing and one year of computer programming experience.
• Knowledge of principles, practices, and techniques in computer programming, including designated programming languages and research and analysis techniques.
• Ability to apply the principles and techniques of computer programming to specific user needs and problems.

The Programmer Analyst will work in an office environment with constant interruptions and may be required to work weekends. The ability to hear and speak to communicate with students/employees/public, see to read documents, sit and stand for extended periods, and lift up to (heavy, moderately heavy, light) objects is required.
