Job Summary:

This position is responsible for providing high-quality respiratory care to patients with heart and lung abnormalities in the intensive care unit and emergency room. The ideal candidate will have experience with complex respiratory equipment and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate and administer respiratory therapy treatments to patients, including oxygen, aerosols, and ventilator support.
  • Monitor patients for adverse reactions and take corrective action as needed.
  • Determine the effectiveness of therapy and make recommendations to physicians for treatment changes.
  • Provide resuscitation services and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
Requirements:
  • Graduation from an approved school of respiratory therapy.
  • One year of recent clinical experience in respiratory care, with a focus on critical care.
  • Current licensure as a respiratory care practitioner in the state of Washington.
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification through the National Board of Respiratory Care.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
