Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Systems Administrator to join our team at Leidos. As a key member of our Digital Modernization sector, you will be responsible for supporting systems administration, engineering, integration, test, and deployment activities for the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) on the Cross Domain Enterprise Solutions (CDES) team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and maintain Linux and Windows operating systems, including back-end databases and performing scripts.
  • Perform systems maintenance by reviewing error logs, creating backups, and analyzing system performance.
  • Assist with installation and configuration of software and hardware.
  • Manage network servers and technology tools.
  • Set up accounts and workstations.
  • Troubleshoot junior- to intermediate-level issues and outages.
  • Ensure security through access controls, backups, and firewalls.

Requirements

  • Secret Clearance or higher (program can support up to TS/SCI)
  • IAT level II Certification (i.e. COMPTIA Security)
  • BS and 2+ years of IT or DoD/Military experience; additional experience may be considered in lieu of degree
  • Familiarity with RedHat / Linux and Windows servers (installation, configuration, maintenance)
  • Experience with operations, patching, vulnerability management, and operating systems upgrades and COTS upgrades.
  • Works effectively both as a team member and independently.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate by phone, email, and in person with customers and management.
  • Proven technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
  • Ability/desire to work in a highly dynamic and challenging environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI Clearance
  • Linux experience including maintaining, troubleshooting, and performing performance analysis and tuning.
  • Experience with Network Devices such as Load Balancers, Routers, and switches.
  • Experience with MySQL Database and Microsoft Active Directory
  • Experience with developing policy in Broadcom Layer7 or other API-based application gateways.
  • Experience with cross-domain solutions.
