The Digital Modernization Sector at Leidos has a career opportunity for a GMS Transition Manager supporting the Global Solutions Management – Operations II (GSM-O II) contract at DISA.

This contract includes the Operations, Sustainment, Maintenance, Repair, and Defense of the Defense Information System Network (DISN) within the DOD Information Network (DODIN) in support of the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA).

Key responsibilities include outlining, developing, and executing required work tasks to accomplish project goals, overseeing the creation of integration and verification test plans for new capabilities and migrated COTS/GOTS tools, and identifying and managing related project task dependencies, risks, and possible mitigations.

Additionally, the candidate must be able to estimate the level of effort (hours/days/resources) to outline and update a projected project schedule, support requirements specification and definition for the cloud infrastructure and tools, and create systems engineering documents and diagrams to support the tool migrations.

The ideal candidate will have experience with cloud-based AWS services, AWS enterprise implementations, leadership experience, systems engineering, project planning, testing, troubleshooting, and integrating COTS/GOTS software.

Key Qualifications:

  • Requires a US Citizenship.
  • Hold and active security certification that meets DOD 8570 IAT level II or higher.
  • Must hold an active DoD Secret clearance.
  • Must be able to commute to Scott AFB, IL or Ft. Meade, MD for full-time on-site support.
  • Bachelor's Degree with 12-15 years of relevant experience or master's with 10-13 years of prior relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with Linux and Windows operating systems and operating system commands.
  • Experience with DevOps/DevSecOps, Configuration as Code, Infrastructure as Code, and CI/CD implementation.
  • Experience with Jira Xray Test Management plugin.
  • Experience with big data applications.
  • Strong awareness of networking and internet protocols.
  • Understanding of network routing devices and network device configurations.
  • Understanding of ITIL foundation or ITIL certified.
