Job Summary

UNC Health Care is seeking a skilled Cardiovascular Sonographer to join our team in Hillsborough, NC. As a key member of our vascular/echo lab team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of patient care, technical, and diagnostic tasks targeted to the care of patients with cardiovascular disease.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver pre-procedure and post-procedure patient care, including patient assessment, emergency cardiac care, and post-procedure transport.
  • Ensure equipment is calibrated and properly maintained on a daily basis, performing and recording all equipment maintenance and quality assurance monitoring.
  • Generate high-quality ultrasound images of the heart and/or vascular related structures.
  • May perform staff training and education, as well as monitor and record patient information and maintain report storage and data systems.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in Sonography, Radiology, or a related field, or completion of a 12-month ultrasound program.
  • Registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS), Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI), or registry eligible and become registered within one year from date of hire.
  • No prior experience required.
