We are currently seeking a Windows Server Technical Expert to contribute to a significant IT initiative. The selected candidate will be accountable for the engineering, design, integration, deployment, testing, certification, patch management, and resolution of interoperability challenges, not only for the core Windows Server 2019/2022 or later systems and Windows 11 desktop or later operating systems but also for all associated libraries, components, and application dependencies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Extensive expertise in Microsoft operating systems (Windows Server 2019/2022 or later) Core, and Server with Desktop Experience, including modifying task sequences for Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager and System Center Configuration Manager.
- Proficient in applying and modifying Microsoft security policy templates and DISA STIGS.
- Advanced knowledge of driver requirements for Microsoft Windows operating systems and expertise in WINPE, Windows Deployment Services, Windows Assessment and Deployment Toolkit (ADK), and Windows Automated Installation Toolkit (AIK).
- Skilled in scripting with Microsoft PowerShell and familiar with Microsoft Sysprep tools.
- Comprehensive understanding of Microsoft deployment tools and scripting.
Qualifications:
- CLEARANCE: Top Secret - must be willing to undergo CI Polygraph.
- A minimum of ten years of relevant experience is required.
- A master's degree is preferred.
- Proven ability to design, implement, and support Windows Infrastructure.
- Act as the subject matter expert (SME) for all Windows environments, demonstrating expert knowledge and skills in the tools mentioned above.
- Experience in engineering, integrating, designing, and deploying various Windows components, with expertise in Active Directory, Group Policy, digital certificates, multi-factor integration, DNS, and DHCP.
- Ability to create and maintain both bare-metal and virtual machines with the correct distribution of Windows and network configurations using tools such as Windows Deployment Services, Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager, System Center Configuration Manager, Hyper-V, SQL Server, Windows 2019/2022, Windows 10, and 11.
- Develop baselines for Windows Server 2019/2022 or higher with appropriate DISA STIGS applied.
- Establish deployable methods for baselines, including network installation, PXE Boot, WDS, Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager, MECM, MDT Share, DVD, and USB Devices.
- Create detailed build and engineering documentation for all baseline image versions.
- Set up a Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager/Systems Center Configuration Manager deployment server with full functionality.
- Provision and configure necessary software on servers, including web servers and databases like SQL Server.
- Possess a solid understanding of networks, storage, and LAN/WAN systems and applications.
- Evaluate, enhance, and maintain information security across the Windows infrastructure.
- Monitor and resolve server issues, creating recovery processes for failures and performance bottlenecks.
- Ensure technical documentation is current and comprehensive, covering all systems, including inventory and patch levels.
- Facilitate knowledge transfer to Government staff through training and assistance on technology best practices.
