About the Job

Northwest Talent Solutions is a leading technology staffing and consulting firm partnering with clients in the private industry and public sector. We are currently working with a government agency seeking a highly skilled Functional Subject Matter Expert to support a large IT project.

Job Summary

The Functional Subject Matter Expert will be responsible for designing, implementing, and integrating Windows Server 2019/2022 or later server and Windows 11 desktop or later operating systems. Key duties include creating and maintaining bare-metal and virtual machines, developing baselines for Windows Server 2019/2022 or higher, and creating deployable methods for baselines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement Windows infrastructure
  • Create and maintain bare-metal and virtual machines
  • Develop baselines for Windows Server 2019/2022 or higher
  • Create deployable methods for baselines
  • Provision and configure required software
  • Evaluate and improve information security
  • Monitor and correct server issues
  • Manage and monitor installed systems and infrastructure
  • Provide 4th level support and liaise with vendors
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in related field
  • Top Secret clearance required
  • Willingness to sit for CI Poly
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft operating systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager and System Center Configuration Manager
  • Expert in WINPE, Windows Deployment Services, and Windows Assessment and Deployment Toolkit (ADK)
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft deployment tools and scripting
  • Expert knowledge in Active Directory, Group Policy, digital certificates, and multi-factor integration
  • Proficient understanding of networks, storage, and LAN/WAN systems
  • Competence in scripting languages such as PowerShell
  • Experience with virtualized and cloud platforms
  • Strong problem-solving and documentation skills
