Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Medical Laboratory Technician to join our team at Sonora Quest. As a Medical Laboratory Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of laboratory test results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform waived and non-waived tests in an accurate and timely manner, adhering to established policies and performance standards.
  • Assist with department compliance with laboratory accrediting agencies and regulatory requirements, including CLIA '88, JCAHO, CAP, and OSHA.
  • Process and prepare patient samples, ensuring correct patient and specimen identification and specimen integrity.
  • Exercise independent judgment and identify appropriate resources in performance of assigned duties.
  • Participate in detecting and documenting occurrences that deviate from defined procedures.
Requirements
  • Associate degree in a laboratory science or medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution, or Bachelor's degree in chemical or biological science.
  • Equivalent laboratory training and experience meeting the requirements defined in the CLIA regulation 42CFR.
  • MLT certification (ASCP, AMT, HEW, AAB) is preferred.
