The Department of Veteran Affairs invites a highly skilled Hematologist/Oncologist to join our esteemed team at the Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System in Little Rock, Arkansas.

We are seeking an exceptional physician leader with expertise in Hematology and Oncology diagnostic, intervention, and therapeutics. Board Certification or Board Eligibility is required. The ideal candidate should have previous leadership experience and possess excellent clinical teaching and research skills.

Our medicine section is a collaborative and high-functioning group of physicians and administrative support. Our clinical areas are filled with dedicated staff who serve the veterans with compassion and care.

Little Rock, the capital city of Arkansas, offers a wonderful quality of life with easy access to historic sites, art centers, and outdoor activities. With its central location, you can explore the nation with ease.

Highlights of this opportunity:

  • A competitive starting base salary range: $350,000-$400,000
  • Comprehensive retirement pension and retiree health benefits for life
  • Daily work schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm;
    • 2-3 days section leadership responsibilities
    • 1-2 day(s) per week in clinic, and shared inpatient rounds
  • Paid Time Off: Total of 50-55 days per year
  • No Physician Employment Contract, allowing for moonlighting or working in other facilities while excluding veteran patient care
