Physical Therapist

UF Health Shands is seeking a skilled Physical Therapist to join our team in the Acute setting. As a Physical Therapist, you will work to create and customize the best course of treatment for patients with conditions that limit their ability to move, be active, communicate, swallow, and complete daily tasks and activities.
About the Role
This is a .40 FTE position with afternoon shift hours and a Sunday-Saturday schedule. The successful candidate will work in one of our three locations in Gainesville, Florida, providing rehabilitation services to patients in the Acute setting.
Responsibilities
As a Physical Therapist, you will be responsible for:
- Providing rehabilitation services to patients in the Acute setting
- Creating and customizing treatment plans to meet the individual needs of each patient
- Working with a skilled team to maximize physical performance and address cognitive and psychosocial components of care
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to achieve the best functional outcomes for patients
Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- A Bachelor's degree or higher as designated by professional license
- New graduates welcome
- Experience or fieldwork in the acute setting preferred
- Demonstrates strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with others and work as a team
Licensure/Certification/Registration
You must be a Licensed Physical Therapist in the State of Florida to be considered for this role.
Motor Vehicle Operator Designation
As a Physical Therapist, you will be required to operate vehicles for an assigned business purpose as a 'non-frequent driver'.
